Before we begin, the following is Amandeep's reaction to the canvas when he finally figured it out! He didn't know what was going to be painted for him, it was a mystery he had to solve while looking at his painting!
"The black lines represent our old neighborhood. And the small thing above the bird is our house. The eye of the bird is Henderson annex, the park we use to play at when we were kids. All those memories of all of us playing there, sleep overs. Whoa that's pretty deep. Reminded of all the great times we use to have when we lived there, brings a tear to my eyes. Seriously not joking I'm moved. We had so much fun together, great memories. Painting has blown me away. Thanks." - Amandeep
Well well well if it isn't The Amancave. The Amancave canvas is for my (Sandeep's) cousin Amandeep and his wife Indpreet (well practically not for her because the painting is for Aman's mancave hence the name "Amancave". But his wife Indpreet was still very excited when I told her I would send out a custom made painting for their new home as a house warming gift! Congrats to you two on your home!
It all started during summer of 2013 when Amandeep and Indpreet came down to Brampton, ON to enjoy the festivities of my brothers wedding! During that time all of us cousins got together and painted some paintings to decorate the house because the house needed some flare! During that time Indpreet mentioned once that she wished she could either take a painting with her or if I could make them a painting. Aman and Indpreet had just purchased their first home together and wanted some art so they could cover their walls. I couldn't just magically paint something right away so I told them don't worry I'll make sure I paint and send something over just no time guarantees.
Later on that year in November Aman clarified that he wanted something for his "mancave". And that is when it got realllll juicy as a lot of ideas started flying around in my head. I don't know if he was serious or not but these are the pictures he emailed to me for ideas. He will have to correct me if I am mistaken with his intentions for emailing me the following pictures....
Not tooooo mancave'ish but you know I didn't judge, I let the man send me about 15 pictures in total. I would have loved to use these designs though. Aman basically told me he wanted something for his mancave then he said "surprise me". He had no clue what I was going to make him and with the help of his sister Manee I put together some ideas!
Above is Amandeep very carefully opening his mancave painting!

| Tadaaaaaaaa! The Amancave for Amandeep's MANCAVE |
Lets get down to what The Amancave represents:
- Vancouver (his city)
- Logo of Vancouver Thunderbirds (hockey team he played on when he was a youngster)
- Love for hockey
- Red, black and yellow (90's Vancouver Canucks colours)
- Nissan 370Z (his car)
- 53rd & Fraser (his old neighborhood in Vancouver)
I took all of that and combined it to create The Amancave. My honest goal and what I want Aman to feel every time he sees his painting is to feel a tingle. A tingle that everyone feels when they step back in time and remember the good old days. He loves hockey, he loves cars, he loves the Canucks, he loves his city, he loved his old house that was on 53rd and Fraser and also his hood! (I loved it too haha). I remember back in 97' he drew the front face of his house. He made it so exact, used a ruler and everything and it looked very very very precise and epic!

Take a look at the step by step pictures below!
| The painting was designed in a way so everything would blend in and mix/overlap with other objects / shapes in the painting. |
| Penciled in the skyline of downtown Vancouver inside the Thunderbird |
| The black lines represent a birds eye view of Aman's neighbourhood in Vancouver. Look at the little house penciled in at the top! |
| The hood has been created |
| Vancouver skyline coming alive |
| Splashing in some color, again sticking with the theme of everything overlapping and blending together. |
| Using 3 colours was a challenge as I did not want too much of one colour to over power the painting. |
| Check out the Thunderbirds head, that is the side profile outline of a Nissan 370Z. |
| Used hockey sticks to represent the Thunderbirds feathers! |
| Adding detail to the hockey sticks |
| Yellow Yellow Yellow! |
| Added in the red and the number 10. Which was his number during hockey times! |
| Almost done! Still needs varnish! |
| Tadaaaaa! sealed with varnish and ready to ship to Vancouver, BC! |
More pictures at different angles!
| His old house! |
| The 370Z! His car is grey too! |
| Having some fun |
| Varnish makes a big difference, it brings out the colours and also seals and protects the canvas |
| FYI. Pavel Bure was #10 when he played for the Canucks |

| Natural light, The Amancave shining. Look how vibrant it is. |
| Finally once again, The Amancave! |
I want to finish this off by saying that I hope this painting fits in with your mancave. I also hope it takes you back in time and reminds you of your childhood!
