Happy 1st Birthday Jeevna

Before we start we want to congratulate Sukhpreet and Amandeep as they will be celebrating the 1st birthday of their daughter Jeevna! It must be such an exciting time for the parents and family as Jeevna is the joy in all of their lives. Early congrats to the family from Everlasting!

It all started possibly early or mid December when Sukhpreet (Jeevna's mother) approached us wondering if we could paint a canvas for her daughters 1st birthday. Again we were super excited as always. She already had ideas in mind which made our life a lot easier and she mentioned to us that the canvas will be used in the background for her daughters CAKE SMASH photo shoot! Wooo! We can't wait to see how the pictures come out. It was funny because we had no idea what a cake smash was so we had to clarify with Sukhpreet what exactly is a cake smash. Practically it is very similar to when the bride goes out and ruins her wedding dress after her wedding. During a cake smash the cake practically gets smashed by the baby! It's just a fun way of celebrating! Sukhpreet wanted to keep Jeevna's canvas simple, make sure it was girly and also that it incorporated their last name Birdi! (hence the birds on the cupcakes icing) Jeevna's room also has a bird theme so we made sure Jeevna's painting would include that too! We absolutely loved working on this project knowing that in a few years Jeevna will also be appreciating our art work.

We also added a little pizzazz by using some sparkly rhinestones on the canvas! Check out the finished painting below. Jeevna will truly be able to travel back in time to her 1st birthday forever!

Taddaaaaaaaaa The finished canvas! Happy 1st Birthday Jeevna

Pencil pencil pencil
Making sure everything fits in place before we start painting
Jeevna's room has birds of the same colour, so does her canvas
The branches also match the colour of the branches on the walls of her room! We made sure it would fit right in
Added in a little shading
Painted in the leaves and the cupcake
Painted the bottom!
Step 1: We made sure we kept the background simple
Step 2: Can't leave it too simple so we incorporated soft pinks and purple and contrasted it with hard lines
Cannot forget our best friend, the Sharpie! Look at the difference
Time for the font and the Tiara at the base of the cupcake
There we go!
Jeevna getting the rhinestones!
Shiny shiny
Bling bling, the tiara is complete with the stones and so is Jeevna
3 coats of varnish will protect Jeevna's canvas forever
Tadaaaa! Happy 1st Birthday Jeevna

We want to thank the Birdi family for giving us the opportunity to paint for their daughter Jeevna and be a part of her 1st birthday! As always the kind comments and the reactions of Sukhpreet and Amandeep were priceless when they saw the painting! Big thanks from Everlasting! Meher - God's Blessings

We want to start off by congratulating Vick and Sukhjyot, the two wonderful and very excited parents of Meher.

Meher brings a lot of joy and happiness to the family, after all her name means god's blessings and she definitely is a little bundle of blessings. In other cultures Meher also means talented, friendship, kindness and affection.

The story goes like this...

#mypainterincrime Sabhi is a loving character himself and he chose to gift Vick and Sukhjyot an Everlasting canvas for their newly born daughter Meher. He talked to them, he figured out what they wanted and he made sure his art would touch everyone's heart.

Everyone who is possibly reading this has a favourite cartoon from their childhood. I know mine was Hamtaro! Haha! No seriously, if someone painted me Hamtaro right now and gave it to me I would go crazy. I'm sure Sabhi's favourite cartoon was Sailor Moon. I joke, one of Sabhi's favourite is Donald Duck!

Sabhi really did not know what to gift Vick and Sukhjyot, he kept thinking and thinking until one wild night at about 11PM Sabhi randomly texted Vick asking, "What is your and Phabi's favourite childhood cartoon?" I'm sure Vick was confused but he answered Sabhi's question. And low and behold Tom and Jerry and Bugs Bunny came up. Sometimes its just that simple. Sabhi knew that an Everlasting canvas in Meher's room would take Vick and Sukhjyot back to their childhood. Not only does it remind them of the young, crazy and innocent days it also reminds them to just take it easy because at one point in life Saturday morning 7:00 AM was the most important time of the week to them. Now it is up to Meher to decide if she likes Tom and Jerry, Bugs Bunny or maybe she'll find her own cartoon! Imagine its Pokemon?

Meher's Tom and Jerry and Bugs Bunny canvases will remain with her forever. It really is that simple to add that personal touch to your child's room with art that touches the heart. Sabhi took it a step further and connected the paintings to the city of Toronto which signifies the hometown of the family. Paintings like these make awesome gift ideas for baby showers, new born babies and also birthdays. Enjoy the pictures below!

Below are the final paintings!

When Sabhi gave Vick and Sukhjyot the paintings, Vick said to Sabhi, "I had no clue, I thought you were doing some survey to find out the best cartoon characters"
